beHUMAN™ is an international movement that focuses on peace and reconciliation through sports. beHUMAN™ operates under the umbrella of Hope of Mother, an organization based in Afghanistan that has achieved remarkable success in building hospitals, schools and needed infrastructure in local communities. The founders of Hope of Mother, through beHUMAN™, will now translate the same vision and dedication they exhibited in remote regions of Afghanistan to the streets of United States and neighboring countries.

beHUMAN™ operates in targeted cities, countries, and continents of the world. beHUMAN™ will harness the expertise of world-renowned professional and collegiate athletes in bringing its own brand of sports programs to inner-city youth.
Through intensive sports training, people from different backgrounds, tribes and groups will achieve individual and collective empowerment. Time and time again we have seen examples of sports affecting lives for the better. There are countless stories of under privileged and wayward youths ultimately becoming professional athletes. Even more frequently we see at-risk children who, when given the opportunity to assert themselves through sports, gain confidence and self-respect. As Muhammad Ali said, "It's lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believed in myself."
beHUMAN™ will teach its participants to believe in themselves.

We have also witnessed, on a global level, the power of sports to bring hostile nations together peacefully on the field of play. The United States and Iran have been at odds for generations, but they met on the soccer field during the 1998 World Cup in France without incident. And again sports helped to unite two warring factions in Rwanda. The 1994 genocide in Rwanda saw more than 1 million Tutsi and Hutu killed in 100 days. In 2003, the Tutsi and Hutu were again adversaries, but this time on the soccer field. The event was attended by more than 5,000 spectators. There were only two policemen on duty at the event, there was no violence, and both teams proclaimed the game was a victory for peace. beHUMAN™ will tap into the part of the human condition that enables even warring nations to unite through sports.
